Scarlett Sullivan is married to Scott and the mother of Dayne, Elias, Saige and Nolan. She attends First Evangelical Church where she is a member of the choir, a youth counselor, and a Sunday School teacher. She attended Auburn University and majored in Public Administration with a minor in Political Science. She credits her high school history teacher with her love for the subject. My teacher imparted her never ending desire to know more and grow from that knowledge. Mrs. Sullivan hopes to do the same for her students at Veritas. History is an alive and rich subject that should never be a boring set of names and dates to be memorized. All things historical have an impact on the American way of life today. We can learn from our mistakes, and those of others, and we can build on the successes of the past. Mrs. Sullivan enjoys teaching immensely. It is one of the few occupations that offers so much reward in seeing the success of the students.
Donna Thornton graduated with a B.A. in Education from Mercer University and a Masters of Education from Augusta State College (now University). She lived in Georgia, Texas, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia during her husband’s 29 year Air Force career. After teaching in public schools in Macon and Augusta for six years and in a private school in Miami, FL for one year, Donna home schooled her own children for a total of 14 years. Her son, Matthew, graduated from Patrick Henry College and her daughter attends Middle Georgia Technical College. She and her husband are the grandparents of Autumn, the daughter of their son and his wife, Katie. The Thorntons are members of Harvest Methodist Church in Warner Robins. In her spare time, Donna enjoys her numerous pets, many types of paper crafts and learning to sew.
